Chris Jericho Responds To Claim He Is Willing To Work With CM Punk

Chris Jericho appears to comment on a potential CM Punk return to AEW

CM Punk looks to be on his way back to All Elite Wrestling following reports that tentative plans have been made for the two-time AEW World Champion to return at or around the June 21 edition of Dynamite at Chicago's Wintrust Arena. Nothing is set in stone as of yet, though, and plans could still change as it is a tumultuous situation.

Punk has been pushing for a meeting with The Elite and there was a planned meeting between Chris Jericho and Punk, seemingly as AEW look to clear the air before a possible return for the 44-year-old.

Chris Jericho might not be particularly keen to see CM Punk return to AEW, though. After a fan account tweeted Jericho asking if he's "always been willing to work with everyone" and "do what's best for business" alongside a photo of Jericho and Punk together, the former ROH World Champion simply replied: "Not everyone."

It emerged in late 2022 that Jericho was opposed to a Punk return, telling the AEW locker room that he and other top talents would ensure The Straight-Edge Superstar doesn't return to All Elite Wrestling. Jericho also reportedly called Punk a "cancer to the locker room" and a "detriment" to AEW after the All Out backstage fight that Punk and Ace Steel had with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. Jericho was particularly angry about Punk's lack of professionalism during the All Out media scrum in which he called out the AEW EVPs, Hangman Page, and Colt Cabana. Punk apparently told Jericho it was none of his business.
