Chris Jericho To Defend AEW World Championship Next Week On Dynamite

Will he remain Le Champion?

Before Dynamite last night, AEW World Champion Chris Jericho teased a “HUGE” announcement.

While the announcement itself was that Jericho will be hosting “Chris Jericho's Thanksgiving Thank You Celebration” next week in Chicago, Le Champion was quickly interrupted by So-Cal Uncensored members Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky.

Sky, of course, became the first star in All Elite to pin Jericho last week.

Jericho was infuriated by their appearance and was driven by a desire to avenge the blemish to his formerly perfect record.

After Jericho demanded a one-on-one match with Sky next week, all three members proclaimed there was no way he had enough time to prepare. If forced to go ahead with the match, Daniels, Sky and Kazarian agreed it would have to be a non-title bout as they would be destroyed by the superior Jericho if the World Championship was on the line.

Keen to push ahead with the match, Jericho announced it would indeed be for the title, forcing Sky to shake his hand in agreement. Sky then revealed they had baited the world champion, and promised to beat him for the championship.

The segment then broke down into a brawl between SCU and members of The Inner Circle. Once the tag team champions were pinned down, Michael Nakazawa, Brandon Cutler, Marko Stunt and Jungle Boy all failed to make the save with The Inner Circle only retreating once Luchasaurus appeared.
