Since returning to the WWE fold last week CM Punk has kept himself busy, appearing on The Herd With Colin Cowherd podcast yesterday.

When asked if he was worried about upsetting WWE in his new role on WWE Backstage, Punk replied: “I'm not concerned about it, I think that's honestly the appeal of the job...we're gonna pay you to come here and be an analyst, and you get to critique the old place you worked at. I'm not here just to be a spoiler, and I'm not here to pour gasoline on everything, and just set everything on fire. Like I think, deep down, I loved pro wrestling as a kid, and I think it could be better and I always voiced my concerns and criticisms while I worked there and now I don't work there...I can't get in trouble for it.”

The Voice Of The Voiceless also mentioned that he believes WWE is currently overproduced, similar to the National Football League: “Let them wrestle, let the women and let the men...be themselves and they can develop their own characters.”

He added the product also suffers from being written and produced from “one voice”. Instead, there should be: “multiple voices” to create better TV.
