WWE NXT star Cora Jade is reportedly out of action after tearing her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) at an NXT live event over the weekend.

Jade was in the main event against NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria in the Dade City Armory in Florida when the injury occurred, with both F4WOnline and POST Wrestling reporting that it was an ACL tear that took Jade out.

Cora Jade had only been back on NXT for several weeks after returning at Deadline on December 10, with Jade having been absent from NXT TV after ‘walking out’ on August 1.

As of writing there is no timetable for Cora Jade’s return, with ACL tears often taking anywhere from six to nine months to heal, plus additional fitness and in-ring training. WWE have yet to publicly confirm jade’s injury.

Since returning at Deadline, Jade has wrestled seven times, with three televised wins to her name in this time. Jade’s last televised match was a quick singles win over Gigi Dolin on the January 9 edition of WWE NXT. Jade made clear upon her return that she was coming for the WWE NXT Women’s Championship, and it remains to be seen what the plan will be for Champion Valkyria going forward.
