CM Punk Vs. Eddie Kingston (AEW)
While CM Punk vs. Eddie Kingston was only a very brief feud, the programme had everything a professional wrestling fan could want. Two great talkers in an amazing Rampage segment, an absolute banger of a pay-per-view match at Full Gear, and legitimate animosity between the pair stemming from their time on the indies together.
The feud appeared to come out of nowhere, with Kingston having just finished up a rivalry with Jon Moxley against Suzuki-gun and a mini run in the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament, while Punk was on his happy-go-lucky tour of facing various AEW talents, only for Kingston to suddenly interrupt him during a seemingly innocuous backstage interview with Tony Schiavone.
The feud only exploded from there and the next thing we knew, it was one of the most hotly anticipated matches set for Full Gear. It then soundly delivered, with both men remaining true to themselves in the process.
