Roman Reigns Vs. Daniel Bryan Vs. Edge (WWE)
The best feud of the year was the three-way between WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Edge and Daniel Bryan.
Their road to WrestleMania was slightly convoluted, and Bryan himself retrospectively admitted that he didn’t think he should have been involved, but there’s no doubting that his inclusion in proceedings made things better and created a more interesting dynamic.
It wasn’t just their match at the Showcase of the Immortals that thrilled, but what led up to and followed it, too.
The Head of the Table’s singles outings with Bryan (at Fastlane and in D-Bry’s Title vs. Career sendoff on SmackDown) and Edge (Money in the Bank) were also of a superior standard and meant that, whatever shape the three-way feud took, fans were hooked.
The trio’s work in promos and segments leading up to the matches was predictably first-rate and, while there were a few really good feuds in wrestling this year, this one edges them.
