Kenny Omega Vs. The World
I spoke previously about how ‘the forbidden door’ made me excited about wrestling again in 2021, and nothing embodied it better than Kenny Omega’s run as ‘The Belt Collector’.
From stealing the AEW Title and taking it to IMPACT, to battling Andrade El Idolo in AAA, to dominating the IMPACT main event scene. It was amazing to watch and try to figure out what Omega would do next, and where, all while ruling over AEW.
It felt truly old-skool, and the idea of this unbeatable final boss going wherever the hell he pleased made for a great story, especially as the entire IMPACT roster banded together to try and restore their promotion’s honour.
I just wish Omega would have made his way to the NWA. Imagine if he'd had landed the 10lbs of Gold too.
