Kenny Omega Vs. 'Hangman' Adam Page
AEW has a clear dedication to long-term storytelling, and that patience often leads to the promotion’s best moments. Never was that more apparent than this year, when the lengthy feud between ‘Hangman’ Adam Page and Kenny Omega was finally paid off at Full Gear.
But it’s important to remember that Hangman’s eventual triumph was just the final chapter of a much grander arc. His fallout with the Elite, ill-fated Tag Team Title reign with Kenny, and new friendship with the Dark Order have all combined to form the most complete story I can remember in Western wrestling.
Some of the groundwork may have already been laid prior to 2021, but AEW still needed to stick the landing. Thanks to Page, Omega, and everybody else involved, they most certainly did.
