‘Consistency’ is the key word when it comes to Roman Reigns. In terms of the product’s quality, 2021 has been a difficult year for WWE - but things would have been far worse without the Tribal Chief.
With the tone and content of Raw shifting wildly from week to week, and NXT unrecognisable from its previous self, Reigns has been a constant anchor on SmackDown. Backed by Paul Heyman and the Usos, his work in and out of the ring has comfortably been the best of his career - a standard he’s maintained throughout the year.
Feuds with opponents as varied as Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Cesaro and Xavier Woods have all delivered, completing an evolution that would have been unthinkable a few short years ago.
