WWE NXT Stand & Deliver main event planned
Stand & Deliver is just around the corner, with NXT’s entree on WrestleMania weekend set for April 6, mere hours before WWE WrestleMania 40.
So far, several matches have been announced for the show, but a report from Fightful Select suggests that NXT management are pushing for running Trick Williams vs. Carmelo Hayes to main event the show, with the heated singles feud between the former tag partners the hottest storyline on NXT right now.
There is still the chance that the NXT Championship clash between champion Ilja Dragunov and Tony D’Angelo could close out the show, but the calls for Trick vs. Melo are apparently strong within NXT. What’s more, NXT head Shawn Michaels is reported to have been very hands-on with the Trick vs. Melo programme, and is a noted supporter of Hayes within the organisation. Both Hayes and Williams are being considered for WWE main roster call-ups.
