AEW star Danhausen has not competed for the company since the 2023 Worlds End Zero Hour show, where he was a participant in a battle royal.
And after eighteen months of inactivity, it appears that the 34-year-old could be on his way out the door.
A new report from Fightful Select revealed that Danhausen's AEW deal expires in July, unless injury time is added. Considering the promotion's lack of creative plans for him, that would appear unlikely at this stage.
Danhausen did show up at Ring of Honor Final Battle 2024 and it was expected that he would be figured in creatively moving forward, but that hasn't been the case.
Fightful's report noted that he was welcomed back backstage at Final Battle and both sides were under the impression he was back in the fold. However, Danhausen was repeatedly told that there were no plans to bring him to television whenever he reached out.
Previous issues between AEW and Danhausen resulted in the wrestler expressing his frustrations directly to Tony Khan.
Though he hasn't appeared on AEW or ROH television much in recent times, Danhausen has continued to wrestle and make appearances on the independent circuit.
