With FTR’s return to All Elite Wrestling at Revolution 2023, many assumed that FTR had decided to stay with AEW with their return ending a hiatus from the company that was set to conclude after the expiration of their deals this coming April.

However, it seems that may have been a false dawn, as FTR’s Dax Harwood revealed that he and tag partner Cash Wheeler have finally made a decision on their futures, tweeting the following:

“Just got off the phone with Cash. We’ve decided what we’re going to do come April. NOTHING is official yet, so legally, can’t speak on it, but in the next couple of weeks, we’ll let all of our fans know. We owe it to y’all for the opportunities we have in front of us. Love y’all.”

Since signing with AEW in May 2020, FTR have gone on to cement themselves as one of the greatest tag teams of their generation, having reigns with the AEW, AAA, Ring of Honor, and NJPW IWGP tag team championships during their stint in the company.

Despite Harwood's claims, reports have suggested FTR are actually under long-term deals with AEW and any talk of their deals being up is part of a storyline.
