EXCLUSIVE: EC3 To 'Upgrade' The NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title

Changes are coming to the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship

Could Julius Caesar be coming to the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship?

The historic general who famously led the Roman armies in the Gallic Wars and became Dictator of Rome until his assassination in 44 BC has yet to be featured on a professional wrestling title belt but that could be changing, with EC3 revealing exclusively to Cultaholic Wrestling's Tom Campbell that he plans to "upgrade" the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship.

The upgrade will see a change of side plates for the Ten Pounds of Gold, with great leaders from history replacing the flags.

"Definitely homage to classic. I'm not trying to ruin what made this thing so special but I think these side plates need an upgrade. Sure Mexico, Japan, Canada, UK, love them, great countries, but what about empires of the past? Who are the greatest leaders of history? That is kind of what EC3 and The Overman sees himself as. A Caesar perhaps, an Alexander, a Leonidas, a Jesus. That's where I see the side plates kind of going," EC3 told Cultaholic on Desert Island Graps.

EC3 will main event the upcoming NWA Samhain pay-per-view on Saturday, October 28. The Overman will defend the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Thom Latimer. The show is available to purchase on FITE

EC3's full episode of Desert Island Graps will be released on Saturday, October 21 and will be available on the Cultaholic podcast feed.
