Louisiana school teacher The Professor Nick Harrison has gone viral over the past few months with his recreations of famous wrestling entrances. Harrison currently has over 500,000 followers on TikTok and has received applause from across the wrestling world.

Cultaholic Wrestling's Tom Campbell had the chance to speak to The Professor recently and Harrison revealed his favourite wrestling entrances and more.

During the chat, Harrison recalled how he got started on TikTok.

"Last year around January a friend of mine suggested I get on TikTok. So I downloaded the app and deleted it after a day. I thought it was stupid, just the dumbest thing I've ever seen. A bunch of teenage girls dancing around and it's just like, 'No. Somebody's gonna put me on a watch list for having this app on my phone so I'm just gonna delete it,'" Harrison said.

"So the pandemic comes around and I'm bored out of my mind. I started doing childcare during the pandemic - I'm a teacher by trade - and this company was providing childcare for medical workers looking to do something with their kids. And somebody I was working with said, 'Hey, you should get TikTok.' I'm like, 'I already had it, man, it's dumb. I don't want it.' He's like, 'No, no no. There's stuff on there that you would like. They've got comedy stuff. I think you'd really like it.' So I got on it, started to find my niche and over the summer I started doing the wrestling stuff. Like wrestling promos and recreating the wrestling entrances and that's when I really started to gain a following and people really started to get into my stuff."

A passion for wrestling entrances isn't new for Harrison, though, and he revealed he's been a pro wrestling fan since he was "in diapers."

"I've been a wrestling fan since I was in diapers. I grew up watching it. I have family members who are really into it and I started watching it with them. I used to sit and watch it with my uncle. I'm from the south of the United States, I'm in Louisiana, so we watched a lot of WCW, NWA, Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Four Horsemen, Lex Luger, Sting, Dusty Rhodes, that kind of stuff. That's what I grew up on and it just gravitated and grew and I continued to just dig into it," Harrison continued.

With over 500,000 followers on TikTok and thousands of fans on other platforms, The Professor is just hoping to make people happy with his content.

"I want to make people happy to be quite honest. That was part of the reason why I got back on in the first place because we were in the middle of the pandemic. This is like March-April of last year and people were going crazy and there was no toilet paper to be found anywhere. It was like last man standing gets the 24-pack and all that stuff. So it was just people needed something to lighten their day and lighten their spirits and that's what I got into it for," Harrison added.

"Everything that has come from it is a blessing and I am extremely thankful for all of it but it was never my intention, never what I planned. But if this is where I'm being led to then that is what I'm going to continue doing. I can make parody songs and make people laugh and smile, I can do wrestling stuff to bring back old memories and nostalgia, but I can also do inspirational speeches that will inspire people to go out and conquer the day. I want to inspire, I want people to motivate, I want people to be great."

From his clips, it's evident that Harrison knows a thing or two about entrances and he's a fan of what a lot of current wrestlers are doing in 2021.

"Without crowds, it's hard to kind of gauge who has the best entrances. I really love Karrion Kross' entrance. I love it. I think it's fantastic. Of course, Finn Balor I think has a dynamite, wonderful entrance. If we go to main roster guys, The New Day always has a fun entrance, I love The Street Profits and the way they come to the ring. I think that's really cool. Moxley with the way he comes to the ring through the crowd, that's always a time-honoured tradition. Just classic, classic stuff. I like Kushida with the Back To The Future deal. I think that's really cool what's he doing in his gimmick and how that's running. I hate that Undisputed ERA isn't doing their thing anymore because that was my favourite entrance of what's going on right now. The archer, Damian Priest, I love his entrance too."
