Finn Balor has been a WWE Superstar for eight years but The Prince has spent much of his time with the company as a babyface, fighting for the good guys on WWE TV.

Balor wants to tap into his darker side, though, and he noted on My Love Letter to Wrestling with Mark Andrews that he wants a "real heel turn" within WWE.

"I really really want to work on the heel aspect of Finn at the Raw and SmackDown level. I've done a lot in Japan. We tried to do it in NXT, but it kind of went a different direction. I would really love to have a real heel run," he said.

Balor did turn heel upon his return to NXT in October of 2019, attacking Johnny Gargano, but he started to turn face again only a few months later, completing the turn when Damian Priest was revealed to have attacked him in May of 2020.

The two-time NXT Champion is currently a member of the Monday Night Raw roster but reports noted a possible heel turn was rejected and the company plan to use him to put over younger talent.
