Former IMPACT World Champion's Return Teased At Rebellion

A former IMPACT World Champion looks to be returning soon

Along with multiple title changes and other big moments at Saturday's Rebellion pay-per-view, the return of a former IMPACT World Champion was teased.

During the show, a cryptic vignette played which stated 'EGV is coming.' Images of Eddie Edwards, Eric Young, and Josh Alexander were also shown before they burnt up, along with x-rays of bones.

A binary code also flashed throughout the video which ultimately revealed who produced the vignette.

Once the code was translated, it emerged that it spelled out 'Sami', signifying EGV would be the return of Sami Callihan.

The former IMPACT World Champion has been out of action since September of 2021 when he suffered a broken ankle, as well as broken fibula and tibia bones in his left leg after a Tope Suicida during an IMPACT Wrestling TV taping.

In discussing the injury, Callihan admitted it was "gross", revealing that his ankle snapped in half

The 34-year-old has been a regular in IMPACT since November of 2017 and he has been one of the promotion's top stars in recent years, holding the IMPACT World Title for 79 days in late 2019 and early 2020.
