Former WWE NXT Talent Returns To The Ring

A former WWE NXT star is wrestling again

A former WWE NXT talent is back in the ring.

Following her exit from WWE earlier this year, Sareee (FKA Sarray) made her in-ring return on Tuesday, May 16, taking on Chihiro Hashimoto at Sareee-ISM in Tokyo, Japan. Both competitors fought back and forth for 23 minutes but Sareee was unable to pick up the win on her in-ring return as Hashimoto connected with the Atom Bomb to score the victory.

After three years with WWE, Sareee exited the company in March 2023 when her contract expired. She had the option to remain with the organisation but she turned down a contract renewal. The Joshi star signed with WWE to much hype and she eventually made her NXT debut in 2021 following COVID-19-related delays.

The NXT 2.0 rebrand appears to have affected Sarray's chances on WWE TV, though, as she was first repackaged as a schoolgirl who could transform into a warrior with her grandmother's necklace, before several of her backstage supporters were let go in January 2022.

May 16 was Sareee's first match since a loss to Mandy Rose on an August 2022 edition of NXT.
