Former WWE Superstar Gable Steveson Signs With Buffalo Bills NFL Team

Gable Steveson is trying his hand at another sport following WWE release

Early last month, Olympic Gold Medallist Gable Steveson was released from his WWE contract. After signing with the company in 2021, WWE put a lot of stock in the amateur wrestler, with big appearances on RAW and WrestleMania over the course of his tenure. In the background, he was training in the ring, and went on to make his in-ring debut in NXT in 2023, which went disastrously badly.

His release did not come as a shock to those in WWE, per reports, with his developments and improvement in the ring not being as quick as hoped. In the aftermath of his WWE exit, it was revealed that multiple NFL teams had reached out to Steveson and offered tryouts.

Steveson’s agent, Carter Chow, has now revealed to ESPN that his client has officially signed with the Buffalo Bills to a three-year rookie deal. Not only is Steveson looking to simply just compete at an elite level in another sporting field, but he is looking to become one of the only men in sporting history to win both Olympic Gold and a Super Bowl ring.
