Former WWE Talent Receiving Hate Messages Over CM Punk's Return

CM Punk's friend receiving abuse over his WWE return

Former WWE talent Domino of Deuce 'n' Domino fame has been receiving "hate messages" over his friendship with CM Punk, according to the man himself.

Domino posted on Instagram: "Over the last several days I've received countless hate messages about my story posts. The majority of them involved the colossal success of the WWE return of CM Punk. For over a decade I watched my best friend get slandered non stop. Phil is one of the kindest and generous people I know. I stood next to him at his wedding and he cried with me when my dog died. Phil loves his fans. I've read some of the most ridiculous lies about him and we always have a good chuckle over them. He's a lot like Axl Rose, super talented and hated but still the best!!"

CM Punk made his shocking return to WWE at Survivor Series, closing out the show. He has since been re-established as a top star within the organisation.

Punk has become a divisive figure within professional wrestling, though, due to his antics during his stint with All Elite Wrestling that ultimately led to his firing with cause in September 2023 after a backstage altercation with Jack Perry and multiple incidents with Tony Khan.

Revisit CM Punk's full run with All Elite Wrestling with PUNKVEMBER. An epilogue covering Punk's WWE return will be released on Sunday, December 3.
