Goldberg Comments On Wardlow Comparisons

From his high-powered offence to his walk to the ring while he is surrounded by security, Wardlow has drawn comparisons to Goldberg in recent months, with the AEW talent often being serenaded with chants of 'Wardlow' in a tune similar to that of Da' Man's own chants. 

Goldberg was asked about the Wardlow comparisons by Bleacher Report and the WWE Hall of Famer admitted it was an honour. 

"I understand the comparisons. I've heard of him for sure. I've seen pictures of him. I haven't seen him work that much, but hey, man, more power to him. There needs to be more characters like that. There needs to be serious intensity out there. There's people that slice meat and people that eat meat. He needs to be eating meat, and now Big E's going to come into it," Goldberg said.

"But yeah, I don't know. I haven't read anything about a comparison from him and how he passes judgment on it, but at the end of the day, anyone close to the top and their prospective business to be compared to myself, that's an honour and a privilege."

Goldberg also recently revealed that he is still under contract with WWE and he is just waiting for "that one call" about a possible return.
