Grizzled Young Veterans Are Back, Criticise NXT Creative

Grizzled Young Veterans are free from the chains of NXT

The Grizzled Young Veterans are back in business. James Drake and Zack Gibson are no longer the weird, shaved, and freaky cult members of the Schism, and are once again their classic selves which are so beloved by fans. They are officially gone from WWE after the expiration of their deals, and are looking to reclaim their identities.

During a video announcing the return to their GYV roots on X, they didn’t hide their distaste of what went down in NXT. Shots were thrown at the overproduction, spooky lights, and even the contact lens that had to be worn during their time in The Schism. They talked about the “soulless wrestlers with heartless gimmicks and the death of creativity”, and spoke down on the scripts they were given.

They followed this up by announcing the desire to take over the world, clearly looking over the moon to be themselves again. Their first match outside of NXT will take place in OTT Wrestling against The Draw on October 28th.
