Homicide is set to retire and it has been announced that the 47-year-old's final match will take place on Thursday, March 20.
Homicide's retirement match will headline Outlaw Wrestling's 'End of an Era' show at Arlo Williamsburg in Brooklyn, New York. Homicide's final opponent has yet to be revealed.
Homicide announced in February that he thought he would retire in March. He reflected on his career on Counted Out, saying:
"I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would be wrestling for so long - I travelled all over the world - until Eddie Kingston told me, 'Do you know you've been wrestling for 30 years? Do you know you did this? You teamed up with Kenta Kobashi. You wrestled Minoru Suzuki. You [faced] Jun Akiyama' - because I'm a big Japanese mark, whatever you call it. But I also wrestled Jerry Lynn. I wrestled The Dudley Boyz. I wrestled Kurt Angle. Like, I did things that people wish they were in my shoes. I never thought about it. Then I realised - I was like 'Oh my God.' But I realised that in the end. Then I was like, 'Listen, I think I'm kind of done.'"
Homicide began his pro wrestling career in 1994 and he was one of the faces of Ring of Honor in the early years. He won the ROH World Championship from Bryan Danielson at Final Battle 2006 and he held the belt for 56 days until dropping it to Takeshi Morishima.
Homicide later performed in TNA and he was part of LAX (Latin American Xchange), holding the NWA World Tag Team Titles and TNA World Tag Team Championships with Hernandez.
Homicide has primarily wrestled on the indies in recent years but he also appeared in AEW at Grand Slam 2021, making the save for Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley. Homicide last appeared for Ring of Honor in December 2024.
