IMPACT Wrestling's parent company - Anthem Sports & Entertainment Inc. - has undergone a shakeup today and the company's sports properties have been reorganised into Anthem Sports Group (ASG) under President Richard Schaefer.

The new group includes IMPACT Wrestling, INVICTA FC, and the Fight Network but ASG don't want to stop there when it comes to professional wrestling.

The press release confirming Schaefer's appointment states that ASG will look to pursue further purchases within pro wrestling.

"Under Schaefer, ASG will aggressively pursue additional acquisitions in the combat sports and professional wrestling businesses. Schaefer's wide-ranging background in professional boxing will also be leveraged to establish a boxing promotion platform," the press release reads.

Anthem has been the owner of IMPACT Wrestling since 2017. As part of today's changes, Scott D'Amore was promoted to President of IMPACT, while former WWE executive Lou D'Angeli is the new Vice President of Marketing at ASG. Mike Pine & Talon Partnerships have been retained to focus on "securing sponsorships and new revenue initiatives for IMPACT" and other properties.
