Sarray Confirms WWE Exit

Sarray will restart her pro wrestling career outside of WWE

Sareee - who performed on WWE NXT TV as Sarray - has confirmed her departure from the company in a press conference today. Sareee will return to pro wrestling in Japan at Sareee-ISM Chapter One on Tuesday, May 16.

Sareee addressed her WWE exit, tweeting: "No matter what some people might say, I did my best. I am so glad that I had the chance to go to WWE. Thank you WWE. Thank you Sarray. Thank you WWE Universe."

After initially signing with WWE in 2020, Sarray eventually arrived in NXT in 2021 following delays because of the COVID-19 pandemic. She was repackaged later that year following the NXT 2.0 rebrand and was given a new gimmick that saw her be transformed from a schoolgirl into a glamorous warrior when she used her grandmother's medallion.

Her last match on NXT TV took place in August 2022 in a loss to then-NXT Women's Champion Mandy Rose. Reports have since noted the beginning of the end for Sarray came in early 2022 after several of her backstage supporters, including William Regal, were let go by WWE.
