Several independent wrestling promotions in the United States have severed ties with Sarah Rose (AKA Stepstool Sarah) after misconduct allegations were made against the ring announcer and photographer, Haus of Wrestling has reported.

Allegations emerged after Saint Louis Anarchy were informed by one of their wrestlers that Rose, who is in their early 30s, had been allegedly grooming their younger brother, who was a senior in high school. Alongside interactions that made the younger brother uncomfortable, Rose allegedly initiated text messages with the brother two days after they turned 18. The contents of the messages were considered persistent and inappropriate to the point the brother began to feel uncomfortable. Rose was also accused of manipulative behaviour towards the younger brother.

The wrestler confronted Rose over the situation but they were reportedly unapologetic, blaming their autism for affecting their judgment. The unnamed wrestler then approached Saint Louis Anarchy owner Matt Jackson and after seeing screenshots of the text messages and a phone call with the wrestler's brother, he decided to part ways with Rose for violating the promotion's code of conduct. Rose was a regular SLA photographer but they have not been a ring announcer for the company in some time.

Other promotions, including NAP, Zero1, and Black Label Pro have also severed ties with Rose. Stepstool Sarah told Haus of Wrestling: "I'm going to seek help and wish to be left alone at this time. Please."
