WWE’s recent SmackDown tapings were notable for several reasons, with Bronson Reed officially joining the New Bloodline for Survivor Series: War Games, the bracket for the Women’s United States Championship tournament being revealed, and a new champion being crowned at the WWE Speed tapings prior to the show.

After Friday Night SmackDown at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin went off the air, a dark match took place between superstars of Monday Night RAW as LWO members Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio took on the World Tag Team Champions Finn Balor & JD McDonagh of the Judgment Day. This match ended in a disqualification due to interference from Carlito. As the heels had the numbers advantage, Braun Strowman’s music hit, marking a surprise return for the formerly injured giant. Strowman joined up with Mysterio & Lee to defeat The Judgment Day in a six-man tag team match to send the fans home happy.

During a wild ‘Last Monster Standing’ match with Bronson Reed in late September on RAW, Strowman tore his groin two minutes in, before working his way through the rest of the bout.
