Jeff Hardy's AEW Contract Set To Expire In June

Could Jeff be the next big star to leave AEW?

Jeff Hardy's AEW contract is set to expire within a matter of weeks, according to Jeff's brother Matt.

The elder Hardy made the revelation while discussing Jeff's status on the latest edition of his The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, saying:

"He's been cleared. He's just sitting at home, waiting on the call. Unlike me, he's not someone who really gets out and makes things happen, he just kind of waits on someone to call him. He's sitting at home just waiting on that phone call, jumping on the trampoline up and down with the dumbbells. But yeah, he's got till like mid-June or so I think, and then his deal's up. So I guess we'll see if he ends up re-signing or not re-signing. Who knows?".

Jeff last wrestled at the February 14 Rampage taping, where he was injured during a match with Sammy Guevera. The company subsequently suspended Guevara (who has yet to return to television) for failing to follow concussion protocol.

Several people (including his brother Matt) have departed AEW while Jeff has been on the sidelines. The company carried out major talent releases in April, while the likes of Mark Henry, Arn Anderson and Jake Hager have all recently departed Tony Khan's promotion.
