Jon Moxley Advances To AEW Interim Title Match At Forbidden Door

After a highly physical qualifying match

Jon Moxley has qualified for the interim AEW World Title match at Forbidden Door, after defeating Kyle O'Reilly in the main event of AEW Dynamite in Kansas City.

Moxley finished O'Reilly after stunning him with knees to the head, then following up with William Regal's knee trembler, before ending with the Paradigm Shift.

O'Reilly won a 21-man Casino Battle Royale earlier in the night to earn his way into the match with number one contender Moxley. O'Reilly last eliminated Moxley's Blackpool Combat Club stablemate Wheeler Yuta to win.

In the interim title bout at Forbidden Door, Moxley will face the winner of a match between Hiroshi Tanahashi and Hirooki Goto, which takes place this Sunday at NJPW Dominion in Osaka.

The current card for AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door, taking place Sunday, June 26 at The United Center in Chicago, includes the following:

* Interim AEW World: Jon Moxley vs. TBD (Hiroshi Tanahashi or Hirooki Goto)

* AEW All-Atlantic: Pac vs. TBD (Miro or Ethan Page) vs. TBD (Malakai Black or Penta Oscuro) vs. TBD (two NJPW talents TBA)
