WWE star Karl Anderson is set for several months on the sidelines after undergoing successful surgery.

In a social media post, Anderson revealed that he had undergone surgery in Birmingham, Alabama (performed by Doctor Dugas), noting that he will be out of action until after WrestleMania 41.

"Thanks to Dr. Dugas in Birmingham, Alabama for fixing me. See you after #WrestleMania #WWE#wweraw. Details on this weeks #TalkNShop dropping Thursday am. Link in bio @talknshoppodcast. Monday Night Raw tonight! @wwe", Anderson wrote.

The accompanying photo showed the 44-year-old with his left arm in a sling.

Anderson last wrestled in a dark match at the October 1 NXT taping, teaming with Good Brothers tag partner Luke Gallows in a loss to Hank Walker and Tank Ledger.

His lass televised match was on the September 24 episode of NXT, with the Good Brothers again losing to Hank and Tank.

The Good Brothers have predominantly been performing in NXT since February, while making infrequent appearances on SmackDown (the last of which took place on the July 19 episode).

Last year, The Machine Gun pushed for a singles run that didn't materialise.
