Kenny Omega Reacts To His Firing From The Elite

The Elite underwent some huge changes on the March 6 episode of AEW Dynamite. 

The Young Bucks had a major announcement to make on the show, channelling their inner Tony Khan in the process, and they made their way to the ring to reveal that Kenny Omega was fired from the faction due to missing dates in recent months for no good reason. Matthew and Nicholas Jackson also apologised to Omega for having to find out about his firing on live TV. 

In reality, Omega has been suffering from diverticulitis since December 2023 and he was close to having a 50% chance of death. Tony Khan noted in the post-Revolution media scrum that fans shouldn't expect Omega to be back for AEW's upcoming shows in Canada. 

Omega has since reacted to his firing from the faction he founded, tweeting the following photo:

That wasn't all Matthew and Nicholas Jackson had to announce during their segment and they revealed Hangman Page had been suspended indefinitely from the group without pay after he attacked multiple referees at Revolution. Kazuchika Okada also made his AEW full-time debut and was revealed to be the newest member of The Elite in a major reveal.
