Kota Ibushi Yet To Fully Recover From Long-Term Injuries

Ibushi is not at 100%.

Kota Ibushi has admitted that he is still on the mend after suffering from long-term injuries.

Speaking with Sports Illustrated ahead of his appearance at AEW WrestleDream, The Golden Star Said:

"I cannot say that I am completely better. Newer injuries have proven difficult. However, my fighting style will never be limited. I will continue to find a way to fight".

The 41-year-old has wrestled three AEW matches to date, with his most recent outing coming at last night's pay-per-view (where he teamed with Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho in a losing effort to Will Ospreay, Konosuke Takeshita and Sammy Guevara).

Ibushi previously addressed criticism of his performance in the Blood and Guts III match, noting that the glass and thumbtacks that littered the ring penetrated his thin wrestling boots.

Outside of his AEW outings, Ibushi has only wrestled three matches since October 2021; two for Game Changer Wrestling and one for the GLEAT promotion in Japan.

Kota may have an AEW bout with Bryan Danielson in his future, with The American Dragon reportedly keen to wrestle him.
