Kurt Angle Would Be Open To Commentary Role
Intensity, integrity, and intelligence are vital to any would-be announcer
Whilst renowned for his in-ring chops, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle was also phenomenal on the mic, and a leap behind the announcer’s desk wouldn’t seem out of the realms of probability.
However, whilst Angle would be open to a commentary role somewhere, he has never been offered the opportunity, saying on a recent 'Ask Kurt Anything' special of The Kurt Angle Show:
"Oh, thank you! [in response to a fan saying he would have been a great commentator]. I have considered it. I just haven't had an offer. I'm not sure why, probably, maybe because they think I wouldn't be a good commentator, I don't know. But, if I had the offer, I would consider it. You know, nobody has offered it to me.”
With Kurt’s years as a ‘sports entertainer’ mixed with his legitimate skills in amateur wrestling, and natural charisma, you’d think he’d have all the skills necessary to succeed on commentary. But it seems we’ll have to wait to find out until someone makes the Wrestling Machine an offer.
