KUSHIDA To Make IMPACT Wrestling Debut At Derby City Rumble Tapings

KUSHIDA won't be away from the United States for long. 

IMPACT Wrestling have announced that the Time Splitter will debut in the promotion at their Derby City Rumble TV tapings next week at Old Forester's Paristown Hall in Louisville, Kentucky. KUSHIDA will be in action at both days of tapings on Friday, July 15, and Saturday, July 16.

KUSHIDA spent three years with WWE from 2019 until his contract expired in April of 2022. The six-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion then returned to New Japan Pro-Wrestling last month and he has since begun a programme with Taiji Ishimori. KUSHIDA is still based in the United States, though, which could be a factor in him performing for IMPACT. 

Also set for the July 15 taping is a singles match between Motor City Machine Guns tag team partners Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley. If that match will lead to a Time Splitters reunion between Shelley and KUSHIDA remains to be seen. 

Other talents announced for the Derby City Rumble tapings include IMPACT World Champion Josh Alexander, The Good Brothers, Ace Austin, Matt Cardona, Eddie Edwards, and Sami Callihan.
