Lance Archer To Make AEW In-Ring Debut On Dynamite This Week

Who will be his lucky first opponent?

After debuting several weeks ago as the client of Jake "The Snake" Roberts, "The Murderhawk Monster" Lance Archer will wrestle his first match for AEW this week on Dynamite, as formally announced by the promotion.

Archer's opponent is not currently known, but it's presumably going to be a match of the squash variety.

Archer signed with AEW approximately one month ago, following a pair of lengthy stints with New Japan Pro Wrestling. His debut was preceded by Roberts confronting Cody Rhodes in his own surprise debut, foreshadowing Archer's debut and making several aggressive threats toward Cody and his spot in the AEW hierarchy.

Two weeks ago on Dynamite, Archer appeared in a vignette where he demolished a group of thrill-seeking challengers in a ring in some remote woodland setting. Three nights ago, Roberts appeared in a video sat by a campfire, sending more barbs Cody's way, on behalf of himself and Archer.

Cody's immediate response to Roberts' remarks was to offer Archer a chance to wrestle on this week's Dynamite, to essentially prove his worth.
