Latest On Daniel Bryan WWE Return

We haven't seen The Planet's Champion since WrestleMania 35...

During his unsuccessful WWE Championship title defence against Kofi Kingston at WrestleMania 35, Daniel Bryan suffered an injury that WWE have kept close to their chest.

We haven't seen or heard anything about Bryan on TV since the Grandest Stage Of Them All took place almost a month ago, but those fearing the worst can rest easy now, as the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter has been able to provide the most welcome of updates.

Daniel Bryan has been cleared for a return to the ring and could be back on SmackDown Live as soon as next week.

For the avoidance of any doubt, here's what the latest WON has reported: "We don’t know what the issue was, but Bryan was at TV on 4/30 in Columbus, OH and medically cleared and will be written back into the storylines, perhaps as soon as next week."

Bryan was reportedly set to face Kofi Kingston at Money In The Bank on May 19. However, after WWE learned that he wouldn't be back from this undisclosed injury in time, the decision to turn Kevin Owens heel to fill his spot at MITB was made.
