Main Event For WWE NXT TakeOver: Toronto II Revealed
It's a rematch...
The main event of NXT's next TakeOver special has been revealed by general manager William Regal.
NXT Champion Adam Cole will be putting his gold on the line in a 2-Out-Of-3-Falls match against Johnny Gargano.
Regal also announced that Cole and Gargano will be allowed to pick a stipulation each for the first two falls, with Regal himself then picking the third if the match goes that far.
This SummerSlam weekend match will mark the third big meeting between the pair. The first of those took place back at TakeOver: New York during WrestleMania 35 weekend when Johnny Wrestling picked up the vacant NXT title in a 2-Out-Of-3-Falls bout.
The second occurred at the last TakeOver special, XXV, with Cole getting his revenge to capture the big one for the first time in his NXT career.
The pair closed this week's episode of NXT TV with a massive brawl. Cole looked like he was going to invite Gargano down to the ring for a match, but instead invited down one of the former champ's trainees - Cole has been to Johnny's dad's restaurant and Johnny's wrestling school over the last few weeks as he has paraded his new title around.
The pair then brawled around the arena, forcing Regal's hand to make the match.
