Nick Aldis will challenge new NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Matt Cardona for the 10 pounds of gold at the Crockett Cup.

Former champion Aldis immediately confronted Cardona after the former WWE Superstar defeated Trevor Murdoch to win the big one at NWA PowerrrTrip on February 12.

Cardona promised to not only take NWA to new heights, but to save the promotion and be the greatest champion in the illustrious history of the promotion.

Aldis then appeared to say that he has a contractual rematch for the title that he never redeemed.

Aldis previously held the title for 1309 days over the course of two reigns. His first reign started at CZW Cage of Death 19 when he defeated Tim Storm. His second, tipping the scales at a hefty 1043 consecutive days, started after Aldis defeated Cody Rhodes at the NWA 70th Anniversary Show. Cody, of course, took the title from Aldis at 2018's All In.
