Matt Hardy Debuting New Gimmick On Tonight's Episode Of AEW: Dynamite
He'll be less Broken going forward...
Aug 5, 2020
When Matt Hardy debuted in All Elite Wrestling back on March 18, he revived his Broken persona. The character was quickly combined with other past gimmicks and Matt has competed as a highlight reel of his career on episodes of Dynamite ever since.
The Broken One teased a change was coming last week as he said he has been frustrated by his time in AEW so far and that he wants to try and heal some of the division within the United States.
Hardy released another video on his YouTube channel last night and announced his new gimmick will be debuting on tonight's episode of Dynamite. During the short clip, he revealed he would be combining all of his past personas into his new character as Matthew Hardy.
The former world champion said: "This week on Dynamite I am going to refocus my career. To maximise it. Make it as good as it can be for me, for my family and for AEW and it's audience. And I know a lot of people go, 'Well, who are you Matt? The first version? The Sensei Of Mattitude? Broken Matt Hardy fuelled by Damascus? The Unkillable Matt Hardy of The Hardy Boyz era? Big Money Matt, the narcissistic millionaire who's done it all? Or are you that young hungry upstart from the 90s surge Old School Matt Hardy? The answer to that question is this, I am all of those personas. I am each of those personas and all of those personas make up me. Make up Matthew Hardy. And on Dynamite this week you see Matthew Hardy."
