Matt Rehwoldt (Aiden English) Debuts At Impact Homecoming

Drama comes to Impact

Matt Rehwoldt (the former Aiden English) made his debut for Impact Wrestling as part of their Homecoming event at Nashville's Skyway Studios on Saturday night.

Rehwoldt debuted as the mystery partner of Deonna Purrazzo, as part of a mixed tag team tournament.

"The Drama King" teamed with Purrazzo to defeat Hernandez and Alisha in the quarterfinal round.

Before the match, Rehwoldt cut a promo, discussing a theoretical world where the greatest works of art are locked away, and making it his mission to ensure that that never happens. He added that he was in Impact to "create a masterpiece."

Rehwoldt's debut had been telegraphed in a vignette that aired two weeks ago during the Slammiversary pay-per-view. Though he was not seen in the vignette, the phrase "Long live the Drama King" was written on a poster board, hinting that Rehwoldt was on his way.

Rehwoldt was released from WWE as part of the April 2020 "Black Wednesday" cuts. He is a former NXT Tag Team champion as part of the Vaudevillains with Simon Gotch.
