Matt Riddle's MLW Return Confirmed

Matt Riddle heading back to MLW

Matt Riddle will soon return to Major League Wrestling.

Riddle looked set to make his return to MLW after fliers were handed out at a Battleground Championship Wrestling event which advertised the main event of MLW Kings of Colosseum as Matt Riddle vs. Jacob Fatu in a first-time-ever match. MLW Kings of Colosseum will emanate from the famous 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 6, 2024.

Following local advertising, Major League Wrestling have officially announced that Matt Riddle will indeed be making his Major League Wrestling return on the January 6 show.

Riddle was previously a part of WWE from 2018 until his release in September 2023. He was let go as part of post-UFC merger cuts but the impression within the company was that Riddle had simply run out of chances after accusing a police officer of sexual assault.

Riddle previously worked five shows for MLW between December 2017 and April 2018. He was even in the final of the tournament for the MLW World Heavyweight Title, ultimately losing to Shane Strickland (AKA Swerve Strickland).
