Matt Tremont Reportedly Admitted To Burn Ward Following H20 Destiny Event

Tremont faced Onita in a violent main event

Matt Tremont has reportedly been admitted to a burn ward following sustaining injuries during his main event match at H20 Destiny.

Tremont competed against Atsushi Onita in a Double Hell Explosion match at the event at the Trenton Thunder Stadium in Trenton, New Jersey on Sunday 31 October, in which the finish of the match saw Onita set a barbed wire board on fire.

Onita would then throw Tremont through the board, causing a huge explosion and engulfing the 32-year-old in flames. Tremont was also set on fire during the match as well, with the bump eventually putting the fire out before Onita pinned him for the win.

According to PWInsider, Tremont was in increasingly worrying levels of pain following the match, which continued to get worse as the adrenaline from the bout wore off. The former CZW World Heavyweight Champion was taken to hospital in New Jersey and, per the report, has since been admitted to a burn ward.

Everyone at Cultaholic sends their best wishes to Matt during his recovery.
