Mike Bennett And Maria Kanellis Comment On WWE Entrance Music
Here's to the greatest love I've ever known...
Mar 2, 2021
Mike and Maria Bennett have revealed their love for the entrance music given to them during their most recent run in WWE.
Having signed with Vince McMahon's promotion in 2017, Mike and Maria stepped out onto the WWE stage using the 'Kanellis' surname, with the on-screen relationship between the two depicting Mike as subservient to his wife.
While the duo were not overly thrilled with their respective characters and storyline, both Mike and Maria thoroughly enjoyed the 'True Love' that accompanied them to the ring during their three-year spell with WWE.
Speaking about the music on The Angle Podcast, Maria said: "I loved it; it was amazing. I still love it. It literally represents us so much because it’s this ridiculous power ballad and just the goofiness of it but the fun of it too.
"We loved it and it could’ve been such a cool character and it’s unfortunate we weren’t able to do it, but at the same time we’ll always have the theme song. My Zebra head is up there, man!"
Husband Mike added: "All I want is when someone says what’s the greatest theme song. I want it to be Billy Gunn – Ass Man – and then Greatest Love. Nothing touches Ass Man."
Mike and Maria left WWE in 2020 as a part of the multiple releases the company sanctioned to combat the issues surrounding the COVID-19 Pandemic.
