Mustafa Ali suffered a rough landing at Sunday night's TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view as the former X-Division Champion's head struck the floor after he failed to connect with anyone on a suicide dive.
Ali was able to continue with the match, taking a back body drop onto steel steps shortly after, but there was criticism at the Order 4 and Ali's secret service for failing to catch him after Cedric Alexander, Ali's opponent, moved out of the way of the dive.
Ali has accepted blame for the incident, however, and also noted that he is "all good" despite the scary landing.
"Appreciate everyone's concern. Unfortunately, I have to pull the curtain back here because the talent ringside was absolutely not responsible for that scary fall in any way and they are getting all the blame. They did exactly what they were instructed to do. I tried to do a variation of a dive and simply slipped off my opponent. No one to blame but me. I am all good. See ya on #TNAiMPACT," Ali wrote.
Mustafa Ali ultimately went on to defeat Cedric Alexander, connecting with a second 450 splash only moments after Alexander hit Tasha Steelz with the lumbar check. Ali is in his second run with TNA, having signed with the promotion in January 2025.
