NXT held their Vengeance Day 2025 PLE last night, and although the show had some predictable title matches, with everyone expecting the likes of Oba Femi, Giulia and Axiom & Nathan Frazer to retain their titles, there was one notable title change that took place on the show.
The opening match of the night saw Fatal Influence’s Fallon Henley defend the NXT Women’s North American Championship against Stephanie Vaquer, in a bout that saw Fatal Influence interfere, connive, and do everything they could to try and keep the belt around the waist of Fallon Henley. Despite the numbers disadvantage, Vaquer managed to find a way to fight them all off and push her way to the victory, becoming the brand new NXT Women’s North American Champion, scoring her first piece of gold since joining WWE.
Vaquer becomes the third ever NXT Women’s North American Champion, bringing an end to Henley’s 111 day reign which began when she defeated the inaugural champion Kelani Jordan at Halloween Havoc last year. Commentary noted that Vaquer was the first ever South American- born wrestler to win a championship in WWE.
