The next edition in the rebooted Saturday Night’s Main Event series is fast approaching, set to air on January 25 next week. During this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, a new match and a new segment were officially added to the broadcast.

The new Bloodline have been causing a lot of mayhem on SmackDown in recent weeks, leading to many babyfaces stepping up to take them on, including the likes of LA Knight. Last night, Knight got some backup in the form of Braun Strowman. On the back of this, a huge singles match between Jacob Fatu and Braun Strowman has been announced for Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Additionally, just a week prior to their clash at the Royal Rumble PLE, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and number one contender Kevin Owens will put pen to paper in a contract signing, making their ladder match official. It was revealed that WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels is being brought in to officiate the contract signing. This comes after SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis tried to enforce an addendum to their contract for the match, but both Rhodes & Owens refused to sign.

Also set for SNME includes Gunther vs. Jey Uso for the World Heavyweight Championship and Bron Breakker vs. Sheamus for the Intercontinental Championship.
