Update On Whether Corey Graves Situation Is A Work Or Real

Corey Graves’ current status in WWE has been up in the air over the last week after the commentator took to the X platform to seemingly express frustration about being removed from RAW and SmackDown and placed instead onto NXT amidst a shake-up of the commentary teams in WWE.

Various reports have emerged ever since, with some suggesting that Graves was legitimately upset leading to belief from within WWE that he was trying to get fired by publicly airing grievances. However, there was also the emergence of the narrative that Graves was telling those around him that his outburst was nothing but a work and an attempt to create some buzz.

Fightful Select have provided some more details in order to achieve some clarity on the situation, stating that Graves’ initial words on X were indeed NOT a work, and they were legit. There are reportedly no indications that Graves has told anyone that it’s a work, nor do those close to him believe it to be anything other than real. 

Graves was taken off NXT in the aftermath of this situation, and it isn’t clear as of yet what the future holds for him. There has been radio silence ever since his initial post, which has now been deleted.
