New Name For House Of Black Potentially Revealed

It has been heavily reported over the last week or so that Malakai Black is set to leave AEW imminently following the expected expiration of his AEW deal, with reports suggesting that WWE are very interested in bringing him back into the company.

This leaves Brody King, Buddy Matthews and Julia Hart without their leader in the House Of Black faction - a name that doesn’t fit all too well with Malakai Black no longer at the helm. A filing for a new trademark by Brody King may very well have revealed the new name for their faction, or at least suggests a new group could be set to emerge at some point soon. 

On January 15, Brody King filed for the ‘Hounds Of Hell’ trademark for the following:

• For: Shirts and short-sleeved shirts; Hooded sweatshirts; Shirts; Bandanas; Socks; Sweatshirts; Hats

• For: Providing online interviews featuring professional wrestlers in the field of professional wresting and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer

It is believed that WWE see Malakai Black as a potential major singles star ahead of his expected return. It was also recently reported that many of those in AEW were frustrated with Black's mindset and attitude in the promotion.
