Nick Aldis Returning To IMPACT At Multiverse Of Matches

Nick Aldis back in IMPACT for one night

Another promotion in the National Wrestling Alliance will be represented at IMPACT Wrestling's Multiverse Of Matches show on Friday, April 1.

IMPACT have announced Nick Aldis will return to the promotion to team with his wife Mickie James against Matt Cardona and Chelsea Green.

The match announcement came about after the NWA Crockett Cup and Thursday's episode of IMPACT.

Aldis challenged Cardona for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship at the Crockett Cup but he ultimately didn't win the gold after Chelsea Green low-blowed special guest referee Jeff Jarrett. JJ thought it was Mickie James who low-blowed him, though, so he disqualified Aldis, allowing Cardona to retain.

Chelsea Green then became involved in the Street Fight for the Knockouts Title on IMPACT as she simply watched on while Savannah Evans interfered to help Tasha Steelz defeat Mickie James. Following the match, James attacked Green but Hardcore Country was laid out soon after by a Rough Rider from Matt Cardona.

Multiverse Of Matches will be Aldis' first bout in IMPACT Wrestling since 2017. The National Treasure has had two runs in IMPACT, first from 2008 until 2015 before he returned briefly in 2017 after Global Force Wrestling merged with IMPACT.

Aldis is also a former TNA World Heavyweight Champion and two-time TNA World Tag Team Champion.

Several matches have already been announced for Multiverse Of Matches, including Tomohiro Ishii vs. Eddie Edwards, The Briscoes vs. The Good Brothers, and Alex Shelley vs. Mike Bailey.
