NJPW Dominion 2025 is now officially in the history books as the promotion took over the Osaka-Jo Hall in Osaka, Japan for a show that featured some big title matches, twists and turns, announcements, and more. We’ll take a look at some of the more notable moments from the event, in addition to all the winners and results.
The show kicked off with a big plot twist, as during the big multi-man match involving The House Of Torture and Bullet Club War Dogs, as Chase Owens turned his back on his War Dogs allies, nailing a low blow on Drilla Maloney to reveal his allegiance with the House Of Torture, becoming their newest member. With both Owens and Bad Luck Fale now in House Of Torture, they look like a force to be reckoned with, picking up a big win here thanks to these shenanigans.
This wasn’t the only House Of Torture related shock of the night, as Douki returned to team up with SHO to defeat Master Wato and YOH to become the brand new IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions in an unexpected title change. Douki also joined the House Of Torture, strengthening their ranks further. This was followed up directly with another title change, as the duo of Tomohiro Ishii and Taichi dethroned United Empire’s Callum Newman and Great-O-Khan to become the new IWGP Tag Team Champions.
It was three in a row when it comes to title changes, making Dominion a very notable night of action as Oleg Boltin defeated AEW’s Konosuke Takeshita after a hard-fought back-and-forth battle to become the new NEVER Openweight Champion. This makes Boltin the first champion from Kazakhstan in NJPW history, and he did so after taking in a lot of punishment (and dishing out plenty too), nailing his signature Kamikaze to finally get the job done.
Three in a row? How about four? Gabe Kidd and Yota Tsuji battled over the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship, battling in a slog in which many of their biggest moves were delivered with impact. In the latter stages, the pair traded lethargic and tired chops, with Kidd outlasting two Gene Blasters, before mustering up the strength to nail his opponent with a Death Rider for the victory, winning the gold.
The fields for Blocks A & B for the upcoming G1 Climax were also revealed, which can be seen here.
