NXT North American Title Match Set For Great American Bash

With The Great American Bash on the horizon, NXT has officially sanctioned a North American Title match for the event, with Champion Wes Lee putting the belt on the line against Mustafa Ali.

Ali threw down the challenge to Lee after defeating Tyler Bate on the July 4 edition of NXT, with WWE NXT making the match official on Twitter:

“IT IS OFFICIAL -- @WesLee_WWE will defend his #WWENXT North American Championship against @AliWWE at #NXTGAB LIVE Sunday, July 30th!”

Only two matches have been announced thus far for The Great American Bash, with the NXT Championship also set to be defended on the show, with Carmelo Hayes set to defend the title against either former champion Bron Breakker, or former WWE UK Champion Ilja Dragunov.

The Great American Bash is set for Cedar Park, Texas, and will be the fourth GAB event in NXT history, with the event formerly promoted by WCW, and WWE.

• Carmelo Hayes (c) vs. Bron Breakker or Ilja Dragunov - NXT Championship
• Wes Lee (c) vs. Mustafa Ali - NXT North American Championship
